Responsibilities

Aid in the development of project plans and laboratory protocols.
Perform and supervise wastewater bioreactor research activities.
Summarize data from research and stakeholder engagements.
Prepare technical reports and presentations to support publication.
Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor with regards to sustainable wastewater engineering practices.

Qualifications

Level I: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture; no experience required. Valid Driver's License
Level II: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture and 2 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position. Valid Driver's License
Level III: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Agriculture and 4 years of experience in research practices and protocols relevant to the position. Valid Driver's License
SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED FOR EXPERIENCE: Yes, When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.

Pay

Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Schedule

The position is a two-year limited term appointment.

About the Role

The department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a Research Assistant.
