Research Analyst – Program Evaluation

About the role

The Texas School Safety Center TxSSC is seeking a Research Analyst to assist the Associate Director of Research and Evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Manage data and conduct analysis related to the evaluation of internal training program deliverables and outcomes.
• Develop internal and external templates and reports on the evaluation of training programs.
• Collaborate in the development of data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of research information to various stakeholder groups.
• Ensure that schools and communities across Texas are safe, secure, and healthy learning environments through research, training, and technical assistance.
• Support key school safety initiatives and mandates outlined in Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code and the Governor’s Homeland Security Strategic Plan.
• Serve as a clearinghouse for the dissemination of safety and security information through research, training, and technical assistance for K-12 ISDs, open-enrollment charter schools, and community colleges throughout the state of Texas.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, public health, or a related social science.
• Experience in data management, analysis, and report writing.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
