About the role
This is an on-site role based at our Charlotte, NC office.
Responsibilities
- Aggregate, standardize, and augment disparate data sets.
- Be responsible for database maintenance, verification, and updating multiple databases across multiple service lines.
- Provide timely and reliable statistical information on commercial properties, including, but not limited to, availability and vacancy rates, lease rates, absorption trends, lease and sale comparables, tenant migration, development activity, and economic trends.
- Assist with collecting, analyzing, and producing quarterly and annual market reports adhering to corporate standards.
- Assist with preparing broker opinion of values, lease abstracting, and lease/sale analysis.
- Conduct field research to confirm and enhance market information, verify tenant movement, and monitor new developments.
- Perform ad hoc queries and respond to staff inquiries for information.
- Present research findings and participate in local office sales/leasing and tenants in the market meetings.
Requirements
- 2+ years Research experience in a similar role within Commercial Real Estate
- Experience using CRE data platforms and ArcGIS experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Economics, Statistics)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills and experience using a research database. Able to calculate and analyze key metrics and indicators (vacancy, absorption, inventory, deliveries, cap rates, etc.)
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for commercial real estate
