Resale Technician

Season: February - April • Location: Port Hueneme, California

About the role

Resale Technician responsible for execution of USAP auction operations within the Waste department at Six Mile, LLC.

Responsibilities

• Unload shipping containers and stage auction material
• Manage auction website, including lotting, cataloging, and tracking
• Generate and report sales reports to Property
• Operate propane-powered warehouse forklift
• Use cargo straps, banding, pallet jacks, and power tools
• Perform constant physical activity: bending, lifting and carrying 50–70 lbs, reaching, and gripping
• Adhere to Waste department Standard Operating Procedures and tasking responsibilities
• Work collaboratively in a team with diverse personalities
• Maintain self-motivation in a physically challenging, atypical work environment (70% outdoor tasking)
• Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
• Support Operations Division and ASC metrics through assigned duties
• Comply with ASC Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements
• Provide necessary documentation to ensure adequate and legal records
• Prioritize safety and maintain a safe workplace
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and passport (valid six months after contract end)
• US citizenship or permanent residency
• Ability to pass drug screen, background check, and Tier 1 Elevated Background Investigation (EBI)
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours daily
• Capable of lifting the safety regulation maximum and performing repetitive-motion functions
• Must deploy to Port Hueneme, California for the length of the contract

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Resale Technician at McMurdo Station
• Equipment operating experience
• Familiarity with power tools and machinery
• Previous auction experience
• Experience with Maximo database
