About the role

Responsibilities

• Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move, or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Support the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies used in or to aid production/storage.
• Arrange for carrier pick-up as specified on customer purchase orders.
• Keep an adequate supply of materials on hand.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following prescribed safety regulations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1+ years of manufacturing or related experience in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
• Experienced forklift truck operator (training provided if needed).

Job Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions is possible.
