About the role
Amentum is seeking a skilled professional to join our Phased Launch Test Delivery (PLTD) project/team as a Requisitioner. The requisitioner is responsible for assisting with the procurement of materials, components, supplies, and services for the company in accordance with procurement procedures, contract requirements, and federal acquisition regulations. The PLTD project/team supports the U.S. Navy’s launch test facilities Research and Development (R&D) program, a top priority for national defense, including both submarine and surface ship weapons system capability testing.
Responsibilities
- Support the PLTD project through the procurement and accounting of necessary items to support the program’s mission.
- Support requests by the PLTD Project Manager (PM) and government customer for routine and urgent procurement needs.
- Work with the Amentum business team to ensure all procurements are properly documented and accounted for in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Adhere to procurement procedures to assure follow-up and administration of Purchase Card (PCARD), Purchase Orders (PO), and subcontract files.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement-related reports.
- Review purchase requisitions and assist with the execution of purchase orders.
- Maintain procurement records in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Interface with the Amentum business team and PM to provide status updates, inputs, and communicate with other projects/teams.
- Assist with sourcing, award, and administration of numerous build-to-print manufacturing requirements.
- Enter, review, and approve accurate financial/procurement documentation.
- Participate in the development and tracking of program budgets and goals.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, purchasing, supply chain management, or a closely related area.
- At least 4 years of experience in an accounting, purchasing, or procurement role (preferably in a government environment).
- Extensive knowledge of FAR, dFARs, and other contractual/regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate with suppliers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
- Ability to work with little supervision and perform well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Defense contracting or Defense financial management.
- Current DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.
- Experience with Amentum processes/procedures.
- Familiarity with Costpoint accounting software.
Security & Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Work Environment
This position is based in Houston, TX. Expected travel is less than 10% and is typically planned well in advance. This role involves supporting federal customers and contracting partners across the U.S.
Pay
$100,000.00–130,000.00. The compensation range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
