About the role
A multinational defence organisation is modernising one of its most complex command and control capabilities — the biggest programme in its common‑funded portfolio, with more than fifty project proposals due inside eighteen months. This role collects and manages the capability and technical requirements behind it, with a particular eye on security.
Responsibilities
- Review and update the requirements management and benefits realisation plans as the capability develops.
- Keep the security policy, documentation and classification guidance current.
- Engage stakeholders and users at political, operational and tactical level to identify requirements and policy developments.
- Work with the requirements and quality assurance branches so the programme stays aligned with organisational best practice.
- Own the benefits realisation strand as management products are produced and projects land.
- Develop measurable capability acceptance criteria with agencies, stakeholders and end users.
- Track technical requirements with agencies and host nations, keeping validity and traceability intact.
- Author the relevant sections of the capability programme plans.
- Manage every output in the requirements management system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- At least three of the last ten years in requirements engineering, covering both management and elicitation.
- Capability development experience, ideally under a common‑funded governance model.
- Capability development on communications or infrastructure programmes in classified environments.
- Hands‑on experience with a formal requirements management tool such as IBM Rational DOORS.
- Fluent professional English.
- Long‑term engagement that renews year on year, not a short project.
