Requirements Analyst/Technical Writer with Security Clearance

About the Role

We are seeking a Requirements Specialist / Technical Writer to join our team in VA Beach, VA. The successful candidate will assist the Requirements Manager and Requirements Officer in technical writing and development, with a focus on strategic planning, acquisition processes, and production of Capability Development Documents. This role requires a Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review of all source material for Unmanned Surface Vessels (USV) and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Assist with the review of all Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems (FoS) source material and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Assist with the review of all manned undersea mobility platforms, including SEAL Delivery Vehicles, Dry Combat Submersibles, and Dry Deck Shelter (DDS) source material, and prepare applicable requirements documents for staffing within NSWG-8, NSWC, and SOCOM.
• Provide a monthly status report documenting accomplishments, planned actions for the coming month, and roadblocks or obstacles to achieving assigned actions within agreed timelines.
• Produce clear and concise reports and correspondence in prescribed formats.
• Conduct planning, organization, analysis of accumulated data/information, and coordinate and integrate work with other functional activities.
• Perform duties under pressure in a fast-paced environment, executing multiple tasks to meet stringent timelines.
• Coordinate complex scheduling and multi-step processes.
• Prepare written reports and correspondence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other related programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited U.S. College.
• 3 years’ experience conducting research, gathering data, processing, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, effectively fusing results with other information, and developing solutions to force optimization-related problems.
• Possess exceptional work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, and accuracy in technical writing duties.
• Hold a Top-Secret security clearance.
