About the role
The Registration Representative will be responsible for arranging efficient admissions for inpatients and those requiring hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures. They will ensure accurate collection of patient information and inform patients about hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals needing hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.
- Ensures that patient information is collected accurately and informs patients about hospital policies and procedures.
- Interviews incoming patients or their representatives and enters necessary information into the computer database.
- Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.
- Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience dealing with customers.
