Representative, Provider Servicing & Collections

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare provider accounts through phone and email communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with medical providers by delivering exceptional customer service and timely follow-up.
  • Utilize effective negotiation and collection techniques to resolve outstanding balances, payment discrepancies, and account issues while maintaining positive provider relationships.
  • Reconcile provider accounts, research discrepancies, and coordinate resolution with internal departments and external partners.
  • Manage outstanding medical records, billing requests, and payment activity to ensure timely processing and account accuracy.
  • Partner closely with Business Development, Operations, and Leadership teams to resolve complex provider concerns and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and account notes within company systems.
  • Monitor assigned workload and consistently meet productivity, quality, and service level expectations.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with developing best practices to improve provider servicing operations.
  • Support team initiatives by sharing knowledge, assisting coworkers, and contributing to a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, account management, collections, healthcare administration, legal services, or a contact center environment.
  • Experience working with medical providers, medical billing, personal injury, healthcare, legal, insurance, or financial services is preferred.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and collection skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally while preserving strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively as a team player across multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with CRM systems and account management software is preferred.
