Representative Client Service II- Administrative | Oncology Pavilion | Full-Time | Days
About the role
Reports directly to the designated immediate manager for the specific practice or outpatient department. Responsible for scheduling patient appointments. Interviews patients to obtain appropriate demographic and financial information. Registers patients and performs other registration functions. Obtains necessary signatures and documentation from patients for billing and insurance purposes. Orders laboratory tests and other tests via the computer system at the direction of the physicians. Performs end-of-day disposition and gathers appropriate statistical information relating to patients. Announces the arrival of patients and answers incoming telephone calls for the department/practice. Serves as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and others. Provides excellent customer service and greets patients entering the department/practice.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Patient Population Served: Supports and services for patients of all age groups.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Required Skills And Qualifications:
- Knowledge of insurance plans, coverage guidelines, and payer requirements.
- Ability to obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications.
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to take initiative and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills required for cashiering and payment processing.
- Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- Able to prioritize tasks, manage workflow, and meet deadlines.
- Able to handle stressful situations professionally while providing excellent customer service.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred.
- Completion of a standard terminology course preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical office setting with extensive experience in patient registration, front desk operations, and insurance processes.
