Representative - Admitting FT Nights 10pm-6:30am

About the role

The Admitting Representative interviews patients or their representatives to obtain identifying and verifying information, including names, addresses, ages, dates of birth, social security numbers, occupations, and insurance information. They also handle interfacing with the PBX operator and reception areas, operating computers to input and retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or representatives for identifying and verifying information
• Interface with PBX operator and reception areas
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data
• Communicate with the population served using age-specific techniques from neonatal to geriatrics
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology
• Complete special projects and other assignments within a specified timeframe

Requirements

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BCLS (AHA) certification required within 90 days of hire
• AB508 certification required within 90 days of hire
