Reporter - PT

Responsibilities

• Report scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy, and confidence/cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
• Conduct compelling in person interviews
• Collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content
• Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
• Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
• Write clearly and interestingly and use video and graphics to illustrate facts and ideas in the story
• Skill in shooting, writing, and editing packages for daily newscasts
• Produce content for social media and streaming service
• Appear at public and station events, as required
• Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community

Qualifications

• Three years' experience on air, preferably in a top 20 market
• Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to solve problems quickly
• Strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays & ON CALL shifts
• Must have a valid US driver's license with unrestricted ability to drive

Requirements

College Degree preferred or equivalent experience
