Reporter (FT or freelance)

Duties

• Find and pitch stories of national relevance
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of mid-length and longer articles
• Seek out primary sources and conduct original interviews
• When assigned, carry out reporting for national enterprise stories
• Adhere to the Journalism Code of Ethics and Epoch Times reporting guidelines

Qualifications

• Clear and concise writing on deadline
• Strong narrative skills for feature articles
• A proven ability to tell complicated stories in a thorough yet readable way
• Absence of a requirement to take well-composed still photos
• A Bachelor’s degree
• A minimum of two years of experience as a professional reporter
