Report Developer-Research Analysis Spec
About the role
MMCAP Infuse is a governmental cooperative purchasing organization for government facilities in all 50 states, operated by the State of Minnesota's Department of Administration - Office of State Procurement. We are seeking a Report Developer to provide analytical support of data used by MMCAP Infuse.
Responsibilities
- Construct core and ad hoc reports
- Build and maintain the core dashboard and reporting for MMCAP leadership, staff, and members
- Provide web portal content related to analytics and reporting
- Conduct research, data mining, and complex analysis, including studies in the specialized field of pharmaceuticals and other related healthcare products and services
- Determine methodologies and make recommendations for major studies which may have statewide and/or national impact
- Work with the team on difficult statistical or analytical research
- Provide technical advice and assistance to team members
Qualifications
Required:
- Two (2) years of experience navigating complex data flows, including the retrieval, manipulation, and delivery from multiple disparate sources into a business-friendly output of information
- Skill in designing, writing, and testing data queries
- Ability to determine reliable sources to complete research projects on a variety of topics related to the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) industry
- Ability to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to extract and manipulate data and create reports
- Strong analytical skills that demonstrate the ability to extract and manipulate data, create reports, interpret large complex datasets, identify and recommend functional requirements, and communicate inconsistencies or actional solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and demonstrated attention to details
Preferred:
- Experience working in the healthcare or pharmaceutical field
- Project management skills and ability to outline, organize, coordinate, and lead large research projects
- Knowledge of laws surrounding GPOs
- Knowledge of price negotiations in GPOs
- Experience using Crystal Reports
- Experience using Tableau Desktop
- Experience with state procurement/contracting processes, statutes, and policies
Additional requirements
Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check through American DataBank and employment reference checks prior to employment. In addition, a writing sample and Excel assessment may be conducted as part of the screening and selection process.
Pay
$28.75 - $42.16 / hourly; $60,030 - $88,030 / annually
Schedule
Day Shift, Monday - Friday. This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, additional onsite attendance may be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required.
