Replenishment Lead, 100% Onsite
Join our community of food professionals in the Replenishment Buying organization, stationed at the Market level. This role supports Replenishment activities, owning logistics, sales, and costing coordination for product orders. Act as the face of Replenishment in the market, collaborating with the VP Sales and VP Operations to meet immediate product needs and ensure the Replenishment function delivers on commitments, including maintaining product supply continuity while meeting key performance service indicators (KPIs).
About the role
Connect the market to the Replenishment Service Center (RSC) through constant communication, update calls, and collaboration on demand changes and special projects. Monitor inbound product quality and execute replenishment functions according to US Foods policies. Provide subject matter expertise on supply chain systems and replenishment procedures. Manage Replenishment Assistants supporting operations in the market. This role is onsite 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) in Everett, WA or Fife, WA.
Responsibilities
- Daily replenishment duties and KPI monitoring:
- Work with Area Buyers and Replenishment Assistants to ensure key Replenishment functions are fulfilled.
- Monitor inbound product for quality levels and investigate product concerns or returns due to quality issues.
- Manage and execute the removal of slow, dead, excess, and obsolete inventory as directed by Category Management.
- Assist with inventory management concerns, including spoilage, alert date product, and suspense inventory.
- Manage the Credit Debit Memo Request process and drop ship billings through Replenishment Assistants.
- Track key service performance indicators for a Market, including:
- Customer Service Level
- Inventory Loss Minimization
- Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH)
- Customer Order Fill Rates
- Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reserve (shared)
- Managed Cases/Freight Income
- Inbound Cases/Pallet
- Slow and Dead Inventory (Shared)
- Special Order Response Time
- Direct Market staff coordination:
- Drive process consistency and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners overseeing the market.
- Work directly with the VP Sales and VP Operations to ensure the market delivers on customer commitments, negotiating alternative solutions when necessary.
- Maintain open communication between cross-functional partners and Replenishment Assistants regarding business updates and Market initiatives.
- Participate in regular market status calls to identify and remedy service issues, spoilage risks, etc.
- Area Buyer support & coordination:
- Support the Area buying team with routine buying tasks.
- Own the reviews of reports (e.g., Unusual Demand, BIT, Inventory Rebalance Process, ICC/LCR pricing) and escalate issues to buyers/leadership as needed.
- Logistics and Costing tasks:
- Accept PO blueprints and manage Monthly Freight Rates (LFRM Portal).
- Check Arrowstream non-compliant orders and investigate/resolve costing issues (CASIS).
- Provide buying coverage by filling in gaps and covering for temporarily unavailable buyer bandwidth.
- Team leadership & continuous improvement:
- Manage a team of Replenishment Assistants and drive continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide subject matter expertise in supply chain processes and market intelligence to improve efficiency and service.
- Share current challenges, operational learnings, and opportunities with the Area Replenishment staff to improve standard processes.
- Ensure smooth coordination and information flow between Replenishment Assistants and Area Buyers.
- Build a strong culture of customer service orientation, collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and process guidance to the team; work with Area Replenishment leadership to develop required capabilities.
- Provide regular 1x1 feedback based on cross-functional inputs and individual performance.
Relationships
This role sits within the Replenishment function and coordinates with Area Buyers and cross-functional personnel, including:
- Area Buyers: Directly support to ensure key Replenishment commitments are met.
- Area Replenishment Leaders and Peers: Frequent interaction with the Area Director, Replenishment, and peers in other markets.
- Additional functions:
- Category Management: Inventory coordination, including E&O escalation.
- Finance & Operations: Inventory targets and service level goals.
- Logistics: OTD issues and product inspections.
Qualifications
- 5 years of purchasing work experience; proven experience influencing people/management.
- Extensive food service knowledge and supply chain experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or supply chain management, or equivalent food service industry work experience.
- Proficient with desktop software (e.g., Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- High attention to detail, strong customer orientation, and fact-based decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food service purchasing and management experience.
- High degree of diplomacy, tact, tenacity, and persistence to effectively engage stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis & visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Sigma, Tableau, PowerBI).

Pay
The expected base rate for this role is between $81,000 - $115,000, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, function, and geographic location.
