Replay/Video Playback Operator (Athletics Control Room)

About the role

Villanova University Athletics is now hiring highly motivated, skilled, and passionate Replay/Video Playback Operators to join our Athletics Game Production team. The role involves managing and ensuring that replay and video playback elements are implemented and executed according to the game script. This includes working closely with the Director, Building Engineer, and Audio Technician to test and manage all video elements associated with the game script.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure replay and video playback elements are implemented and executed in accordance with the game script.
• Work closely with Director, Building Engineer, and Audio Technician to test and manage all video elements associated with the game script.
• Demonstrate expertise in editing highlight packages and executing in-game replays at the direction of the Game Director.
• Participate in pre-event coordination planning meetings.
• Familiarize yourself with the language of a production control room and have a working knowledge of all current technology.
• Ensure the safety of replay/video playback equipment at all times.
• Respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of audio equipment, and apply safe work methods.
• Provide support and assistance to other venue areas as needed.
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of related graphic operations experience in live game production.
• Proficient using the Abekas Mira replay/videoplay back machine.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required.
• Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of 3Play replay edit system.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Posting Information

$225 per event (5hr crew call)
