Responsibilities
- Complete successfully all required weld tests.
- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Lays-out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
- Performs repairs as per given welding procedure.
- Able to hold United States AWS certification.
- Able to obtain LWN welding certification.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Handles and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Enforce and comply with 6 S procedures and policies.
- Prepare for travelling to jobsites (Material, travel organization, etc).
- Submit work and picture report in a timely manner.
- Documentations of performed work on a laptop (Work Report, Hour Report, Expense Report, Timesheet).
Competencies
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Stick and Mig Welding.
- AWS certification Level I 0–1 years of welding or fabrication experience.
- Technical school or welding certification preferred.
- Basic understanding of welding safety and shop practices.
- Basic weld quality.
- Safe tool handling.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic measuring and layout skills.
- Level II:
- Experience in heavy equipment, structural steel, or crane manufacturing preferred.
- AWS D1.1 Certified Welder.
- Demonstrated proficiency as Level I, plus:
- Ability to pass visual weld inspections.
- Understanding of heat distortion and weld sequencing.
- Moderate blueprint interpretation skills.
- Ability to work independently on standard repairs.
- Level III:
- Extensive crane, heavy equipment, or industrial repair experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency as Level II, plus:
- Advanced GMAW/SMAW welding proficiency.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and preheat requirements.
- Strong understanding of heat distortion and weld sequencing.
- Advanced blueprint and fitting abilities.
- Level IV:
- Leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency as Level III plus:
- Expert-level structural welding ability.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Advanced blueprint and fitting abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
- Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends or on call duty.
Pay Range
Pay Range: $27.15/hr. - $46.03/hr.

About the Role
