About the role
Safran Cabin, the world leader in aircraft interiors, is seeking an Inspector to perform maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles. The Inspector will be responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections in accordance with FAA-approved technical data.
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data from manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
- Performs preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data provided in manufacturers' instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA
- Provides verbal and written status of repair progress
- Applies and handles sealants and adhesives
- Performs complex acceptance test procedures utilizing specific test equipment
- Keeps assigned areas organized and clean in accordance to required standards such as 5S
- Participates and supports regular organized team meetings, such as QRQC and morning stand-up
- Provides on-the-job training in manufacturing and test methods to Assemblers, Technicians and ATP Operators per Supervisor direction
- Supports continuous improvement activities such as shadow board tools and re-layout of areas
- Performs preventative maintenance as directed on tools, tooling and equipment
- Supports other operations areas as needed and directed by Supervisors and/or Managers
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend written process specification documents
- Ability to utilize ERP system for daily transactions such as recording labor hours and closing operations
- Ability to utilize Sentry File to access engineering documents such as drawings, ATP, and ATR
- Ability to utilize work instructions software such as Pro Works
- Ability to read and comprehend schematics and work instructions
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Environment, Health & Safety requirements
