Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment for repairing by pressure washing, blasting, painting, etc.
  • Check all structural and mechanical components for defects.
  • Make any necessary repairs and replace broken parts.
  • Calibrate equipment and paint exterior surfaces.
  • Assist in shipping and inventory related matters.
  • Assist in training new shop personnel.
  • Provide assistance to others in difficult repair tasks.
  • Knowledge of rig floor and pressure control equipment.
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years heavy equipment manufacturing or repair experience.
  • Minimum 4 years hydraulic experience, either in manufacturing or repair.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.
  • Physically able to stand, bend, lift items over head, and crouch for short periods.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • 1-3 years experience with hydraulics.

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to be a team-player.
  • Great verbal and oral communication skills.
