About the role

At FISCHER USA, we’re looking for a Spindle Technician to join our team of innovators and craftsmen. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in building, repairing, and testing high-performance spindles and related products. Your work will directly impact our reputation for quality and reliability, ensuring our customers receive the best in precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and test precision spindles and related components.
  • Build and assemble parts to exact specifications using technical drawings and established procedures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with speed and accuracy.
  • Operate manual machine shop equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, drills, grinding machines) to ensure products meet tight tolerances.
  • Maintain rigorous safety and quality standards while continuously improving processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent manual dexterity.
  • Can read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
  • 3–5 years of experience in precision machining, assembly, or inspection is helpful.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving technical challenges.
  • Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with spindle repair, balancing, or electromechanical systems is a plus.
  • German language skills are a plus.
