Repair Technician
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Committed to upholding company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Restores and maintains all Electric and Engine Drives.
- Captures and fine-tunes machines to ensure they are fully functional for rent or sale.
- Repaints parts, touches up paint, and puts decals on welders to maintain general appearance.
- Replaces defective parts and completes preventative maintenance required.
- Sources and manages parts as required in order to complete repairs.
- Inspects returned equipment for proper operation and/or damage by the customer.
- Utilizes a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to stock required parts in the shop.
- Ensures a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Prepares and completes paperwork for all machine repairs.
- Occasionally supports equipment and customers off-site.
- Maintains collaborative communication with all branch personnel.
- Occasionally advises customers regarding the most effective equipment solutions for their projects.
Qualifications
- Maintains a valid drivers’ license and a good driving record to be aligned with Airgas driver safety standards for operating an Airgas vehicle in the field as necessary.
- Education: Post-secondary education equivalent to a one year Technical College or equivalent is a valued asset.
- Experience and Expertise: Demonstrated mechanical knowledge is ideal. Familiarity with positioning equipment, welding applications, and equipment is a plus. Experience with SAP or similar software systems. Proficiency in operating a computer within Google Workspace is welcomed.
