Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned hydraulic and fluid power equipment.
- Fully disassemble, clean, inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic units and system components.
- Identify root causes of failure and recommend repair solutions.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical diagrams.
- Prepare job documentation listing required parts and scope of work.
- Design, fabricate, machine, and weld parts and components as needed.
- Repair and assemble hydraulic, fluid power, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Test rebuilt equipment to ensure performance and reliability.
- Prepare repaired equipment for shipment or long-term storage.
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain diagnoses and recommended repairs.
- Assist with quotes and customer orders when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Strong working knowledge of: Hydraulics, Fluid power systems, Electrical systems, Mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and rebuild hydraulic units.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs.
- Lift/carry up to 100 lbs., including bulky objects.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching (including overhead), ladder climbing, and crawling.
- Ability to work in indoor and/or outdoor shop environments.
- Tolerance for loud noise levels at times.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
