Rental Technician - N C Power Systems

About Us

N C Power System is seeking a Rental Technician - Power Systems in Prudhoe Bay, AK. We carry the complete line of Caterpillar® engine and power systems products across a vast territory including Alaska. As the Pacific Northwest's Caterpillar Dealer, we deliver prime and standby electric power, marine, oil and gas, and industrial/OEM installations.

Essential Duties

• Diagnosing and repairing our Rental Fleet, which primarily consists of CAT Generators, CAT Air Compressors, and ancillary equipment, both in-house and at customer locations.
• Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (mainly generators and compressors).
• Communicating effectively with other technicians and customers, possessing strong interpersonal skills.
• Completing necessary paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Using relevant computer systems and software as directed.

Education, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• At least 1 year of mechanical experience troubleshooting and/or servicing diesel equipment preferred.
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Products or other comparable systems.
• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and an acceptable driving record required.

Experience Required

• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Products or other comparable systems.
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Preferred performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (mainly generators and compressors).
• A minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience troubleshooting and/or servicing diesel equipment.
