Rental Technician

Do you like to solve technical problems? Are you effective at troubleshooting? We have a challenging opportunity as a Rental Technician in our Anchorage, AK branch.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar, Allied, and Genie or aerial equipment, including removing, repairing, assembling, and installing components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Use CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging, and blocking equipment.
• Plan and organize work with an emphasis on controlling job costs.
• Investigate, analyze, and identify problems to recommend solutions that eliminate issues.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to complete work/service orders using internal and other software programs.

Requirements

• A high school degree (or equivalent); graduate of a 2-4-year vocational technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Potential operation of forklifts and equipment such as hydraulic/mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, and pressure washers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook).
• Ability to stand for up to eight hours per day, including twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneeling.
• Flexibility to work in the shop or field to assist customers.
• Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal.

Pay

Hourly range: $31.85–$42.55 per hour (based on skills and experience).
