Rental Services Field Technician

Wheeler Machinery Co. is hiring for a full-time, benefited position.

About the role

Keep safety first in all tasks while utilizing TRACK/Tyfoom. Perform accurate troubleshooting, diagnosing, timely repairs, and component installation on various makes of equipment, including Caterpillar, JLG, Genie, Broce, Multiquip, Husqvarna, Kenworth, and Freightliner.

Responsibilities

• Utilize safe working habits in all aspects of the job.
• Work out of town, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Maintain service truck and company-provided tooling and equipment.
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, and basic machine operation.
• Exhibit excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safely with minimal supervision on customer job sites while maintaining dealership expectations of thoroughness and customer service.

Requirements

• Have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).
• Ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 85ft.
• Ability to obtain and maintain MSHA clearances.
• Own tools up to ¾” drive and basic mechanic tools.
• Willingness to work outside of normal business hours as business demands and participate in on-call rotating weekends for emergency service on broken equipment.
