Rental Sales Branch Manager ($2K Sign On Bonus)

About the role

The Branch Rental Manager will increase rental margin and revenue by maximizing vehicle utilization, controlling operational costs, and implementing an aggressive marketing strategy. This role involves outside sales, customer retention, fleet management, and rental counter supervision.

Responsibilities

• Sets appointments with prospective customers and performs customer retention visits.
• Performs customer reviews & surveys to determine satisfaction.
• Overcomes customer objections and sells the value of the product.
• Develops fleet planning information with recommendations for the Director of Rental.
• Rental: Ensures rental contracts are properly completed, places customers in ready vehicles, acts as custodian of cash, follows up on problems, analyzes Fleet Management Reports, checks vehicles for physical damages, closes contracts, and extends rentals at correct numbers of days and miles.
• Fleet Management: Insure operational efficiency through effective people development (hiring, training, supervising, and motivating).
• Personnel Management: New hire recruitment and selection, provides ongoing guidance, communication, and training, executes performance appraisals, identifies strengths and weaknesses, develops weak areas into strengths, and increases strong points.
• Coordinate and maintain current accurate data within the company's marketing database.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing customer base.
• Maximize rate opportunities within the market place.
• Provide rental counter training and supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration or equivalent work experience in similar or related industry.
• Five (5) years or more Rental or Sales experience required.
• Three (3) years or more experience in Rental product line to include outside sales & rental counter supervision required.
• Two (2) years or more experience managing others required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office environment advanced required.
• Complete understanding of marketplace conditions in order to maximize utilization of the rental fleet advanced required.
• Must possess a profound knowledge of rental operations and asset management advanced required.

Pay

• Base Salary: $55,000 - $58,000
• Average Commission Year One: $10,000 - $15,000
• Average Commission Year Two: $20,000 - $25,000
