Rental Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and repair on heavy equipment, including diesel engines and drive-train components, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform routine and complex repairs, inspect and maintain equipment, and rebuild components to ensure optimal performance.
• Service Air Conditioning systems.
• Maintain detailed service records.
• Collaborate with fellow technicians on complex repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols within the Field environment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems, plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience with diesel, earthmoving, or industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/Carrying 40 lb.
• Lifting/Carrying and 50 lb. pulling.
• Standing, sitting, and climbing up and down stairs, as well as standing, sitting, and climbing into machines.
• Dexterity Normal.
• Repetitive Motions: Frequent movements requiring the use of hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
