Responsibilities
- Learns and uses the work order system accurately and promptly.
- Completes all necessary documents and parts orders related to repairs.
- Identifies parts for return and communicates effectively with supervisors about repairs.
- Engages in required safety practices and maintains a clean work area.
- Ensures equipment operates safely and complies with manufacturer specifications.
- Assists in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining equipment.
- Attends training sessions and performs yard duties as needed.
- Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnostics with supervisor's guidance.
- Works overtime as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical school diploma with emphasis on diesel engines preferred.
- Heavy equipment, engine, or mechanic repair experience.
- Administrative/clerical experience.
- Customer service experience.
Physical Demands & Competencies
- Standing, walking, talking, sitting, using hands, hearing.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, handling heavy objects up to 100 pounds.
- Data entry, telephone use, reading/writing, reasoning, organization, communication, and math skills.
- Safety and product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Understanding of diagrams and schematics.
- Intermediate diagnostic aptitude.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Wynne, and ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW.
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Internet.
Skills
- Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand operation manuals.
- Basic computer literacy.

Pay
The pay rate for the Rental Diesel Technician is $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
