About the Role

Southern States Toyotalift is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to join our team. As a Forklift Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of forklifts and material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance services
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Respond to emergency repair calls, including 24/7 service needs
• Work with factory-trained methods and use fully-equipped mobile service vans
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Experience in forklift or heavy equipment repair
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Factory training or certification in forklift repair preferred
• Experience with Toyota, Combilift, Autocar, Bendi, Drexel, JLG, Columbia, Manitou, or PowerBoss equipment is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
