Rental Account Manager

Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Rental Account Manager to handle the rental of all new and used John Deere equipment and allied products. This role focuses on developing partnerships with current and potential clients to grow rental market share within a designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Rent and promote the entire product line distributed by Dobbs Rental.
• Meet and/or exceed rental revenue targets set by management.
• Grow and develop customer relationships to increase rental market share.
• Prospect and cold call to expand the customer base and market presence.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to engage with regular and prospective customers in person, at the store, or by phone.
• Utilize the rental lead platform to connect with contractors and sub-contractors in the territory.
• Maintain a schedule that maximizes field and office time effectiveness; provide this schedule to the Manager.
• Track all quotes, including jobs won, pending, lost, and developing, in the CRM system.
• Attend training and sales meetings to stay current with new equipment and promotions.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Equipment Sales experience; Equipment Rental Sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills with teammates and customers.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Self-management and self-motivation skills.
• PC literate, proficient with MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and CRM platforms.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.

Work Environment

The role involves occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually quiet.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Requires close vision and color vision abilities.
