Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise assigned renewable energy installation crews on commercial and industrial job sites.
- Ensure crews have all accurate and required material to complete tasks.
- Ensure material being used is not wasted and ensure enough material is on site to complete all work assigned.
- Cook up daily work activities to meet project schedules, safety goals, and quality standards for assigned tasks.
- Interpret electrical and structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure proper installation of solar arrays, inverters, wiring, grounding, and associated systems for assigned tasks.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce company and OSHA safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other leads to resolve field issues.
- Maintain accurate records of daily progress, materials used, and labor hours.
- Train and mentor apprentices and crew members in renewable installation techniques and company procedures.
- Support commissioning, testing, and quality assurance processes as required.
- Monitor and report equipment and material need to ensure continuous workflow.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or renewable energy construction; supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical codes (NEC), and renewable installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to various job sites.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- (Depending on project scope) State electrical license or journeyman-level experience preferred.
