Renewable Energy Engineer - Solar/BESS

About the role

Design utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites.
Develop site grading and drainage plans for renewable energy facilities.
Perform stormwater management and hydrologic/hydraulic analyses.
Design: Site access roads, Equipment pads, Erosion and sediment control, Utility layouts, Earthwork and cut/fill balancing.
Prepare civil construction plans and permitting packages.
Coordinate with: Electrical engineers, Environmental teams, Surveyors, Geotechnical engineers, Project managers.
Support projects from feasibility through construction.
Assist with permitting and agency coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 2–5+ years of civil/site design experience
• Experience with: Grading, Drainage, Stormwater design, utility layouts
• EIT preferred; PE a plus
• Renewable energy experience is preferred but land development engineers with strong civil site design backgrounds are often considered
