Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, outlines, dialogue, narration, interview questions, calls to action, and final scripts.
  • Audit scripts for Believe in Me and relevant programs, including iLevelUP and Cougs 4 Kids.
  • Collaborate with video producers, animators, editors, designers, marketers, fundraising volunteers, and program leaders.
  • Write for clear spoken delivery, appropriate pacing, captions, transcripts, and multiple video lengths.
  • Verify program facts and use respectful, strengths-based language about youth, students, families, and communities.
  • Incorporate feedback and maintain organized versions and source notes.
  • Follow approved privacy, consent, brand, and safeguarding practices.

Requirements

Strong storytelling, editing, research, and remote collaboration are important.

Qualifications

Scriptwriting, copywriting, journalism, creative writing, video production, advertising, documentary, education, or nonprofit communications experience is preferred.

Skills

Ability to write for clear spoken delivery, appropriate pacing, captions, transcripts, and multiple video lengths.
