Remote Volunteer Quality Assurance Lead — iLevelUP EdTech

Responsibilities

• Define QA strategy, test standards, release criteria, and risk-based priorities
• Build test plans covering functional, regression, integration, usability, accessibility, performance, and security concerns
• Coverage manual and automated testing across browsers, devices, and environments
• Mentor QA volunteers and improve onboarding, documentation, and workflows
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability
• Track defects, coverage, quality metrics, and release readiness
• Facilitate defect triage and communicate risks to product and engineering leads
• Improve continuous-testing practices and post-release learning

Qualifications

• Significant software QA, test engineering, or quality-leadership experience
• Experience designing test strategies and coordinating multidisciplinary testing
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, automation frameworks, APIs, browsers, and defect management
• Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and analytical judgment
• Accessibility, performance, security, mobile, or education-technology testing experience is helpful
