Remote Volunteer Lead Application Developer — iLevelUP EdTech

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning for web, mobile, API, data, and integration work
• Convert product requirements into architecture, milestones, and actionable development tasks
• Develop core features and reusable components alongside volunteer engineers
• Review code, mentor contributors, and establish engineering standards
• Cover testing, accessibility, security, DevOps, and release readiness
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, and pragmatic solutions
• Improve documentation, onboarding, issue tracking, and development workflows
• Publish technical content for the iLevelUP community

Qualifications

• Significant full-stack, mobile, or application-development experience
• Experience leading technical projects or mentoring software engineers
• Strong knowledge of architecture, APIs, databases, source control, testing, and cloud deployment
• Able to balance quality, scope, and delivery in a volunteer environment
• Excellent remote communication, documentation, and collaborative leadership
• Commitment to accessibility, privacy, security, and responsible technology
