Remote Volunteer Automation Testing Lead — iLevelUP EdTech

Responsibilities

• Define automation architecture, standards, priorities, and coding practices
• Select or improve frameworks for web, mobile, API, integration, and regression testing
• Build reliable test suites and reusable fixtures, utilities, and test data
• Review automation code and mentor volunteer testers and engineers
• Diagnose flaky tests, coverage gaps, environment issues, and false positives
• Report actionable quality signals and help establish release gates
• Document setup, execution, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures

Qualifications

• Strong software test-automation or development experience
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Postman, pytest, Jest, or comparable frameworks
• Familiarity with APIs, Git, CI/CD, test design, debugging, and cloud environments
• Ability to create sustainable automation for a distributed volunteer team
• Strong technical communication, review, and mentoring skills
• Accessibility, performance, security, or mobile automation experience is helpful
