Remote Volunteer DevOps Engineer — iLevelUP Platform

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, and environment configuration
• Automate builds, tests, releases, rollbacks, backups, and routine operations
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, availability, performance, and cost visibility
• Manage secrets, permissions, certificates, domains, and configuration securely
• Support container, cloud, database, and network operations
• Troubleshoot deployment and environment issues with developers, QA, and systems volunteers
• Document architecture, runbooks, recovery procedures, and change processes
• Strengthen resilience, disaster recovery, and secure software-delivery practices

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or systems automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, containers, infrastructure-as-code, scripting, and cloud services
• Knowledge of monitoring, networking, security, backups, and incident response
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and remote collaboration skills
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or comparable tools is helpful

Pay

This remote, recurring opportunity typically requires up to 10 hours per month.

Volunteers may participate from anywhere, with coordinated availability for planned releases.
