Remote Tax Manager | Boutique Firm w/ Low Billable Hrs | Salary up to $180k+

About the role

We are seeking a client-facing Tax Leader to join our growing, boutique Accounting & Advisory firm. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-7 years of public accounting and tax experience, with a focus on small businesses and ultra-tax experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and oversee Tax Staff on engagements
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members
• Work closely with Tax Partners to ensure high-quality service delivery
• Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive tax solutions

Requirements

• Active CPA license (EAs considered)
• Strong background in small business tax preparation and compliance
• Experience with complex tax issues and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
