REMOTE Tax Manager/Senior Manager | Up to $220K salary
About the role
We're a Top 500 CPA firm based in California providing tax, audit, accounting, and advisory services to privately held businesses, real estate companies, construction firms, nonprofits, and high-net-worth individuals. Our tax professionals are viewed as trusted advisors - not just tax preparers - working alongside business owners year-round on proactive tax planning, business consulting, succession planning, and other strategic initiatives that create long-term value for their clients. Unlike many larger firms, you'll have direct access to partners, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to work on complex middle-market engagements without getting lost in layers of bureaucracy.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary tax advisor for a portfolio of HNWIs, families, and closely-held businesses
- Review complex Individual, S-Corp, Partnership, and Fiduciary tax returns
- Provide proactive, year-round tax planning - not just compliance
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with a manageable client base
Requirements
- Ideally, 5-10+ years of Public Accounting & Tax Exp.
- At least 1-3+ years of Management experience overseeing junior staff
- Strong technical knowledge of 1040, 1120s, 1120, and 1065 taxation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, EA, or JD designation required

- Master's Degree in Accounting or Taxation
- Construction & Real Estate client exposure
