About the role

The Remote Sr Epic Application Coordinator – Professional Billing at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is responsible for designing, improving, and supporting Epic applications that directly affect surgical, procedural, and anesthesia workflows across the health system. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, workflow understanding, and project leadership to create reliable and efficient Epic solutions for clinical partners.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, identify system needs, and design application solutions
• Lead cross-departmental discussions and translate requests into functional and technical requirements
• Conduct impact assessments, support testing and integration, and collaborate with clinical and operational leaders
• Mentor Application Coordinators and System Analysts, bring creative problem-solving to challenging issues, and help lead the implementation of new functionality

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, 3+ years of experience post Epic certification
• Licenses and Certifications: Epic module certification for assigned applications (Professional Billing)

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in computer science or related field (great to have)
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in healthcare, including 7+ years of experience in Information Technology and 5 years of experience post Epic certification
