Remote Senior Forward Deployed Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operationalize AI Agents to automate accounting workflows and improve financial processes.
• Lead transformation engagements, diagnosing operational bottlenecks and identifying automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with CFOs, Controllers, and stakeholders to drive enterprise adoption, change management, and ROI realization.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, including scripting, SQL queries, and system integrations.
• Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues involving data flows and automation logic.
• Partner with Customer Success teams to improve adoption and develop targeted implementation strategies.
• Influence product development through insights and strategic feedback.
• Oversee implementation quality and consistency across projects.
• Travel to customer sites for deployment, training, and workshops.
• Educate customers and internal teams on AI-enabled accounting transformation and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• 6+ years in accounting, auditing, controllership, or finance-related roles, CPA preferred.
• Experience in workflow automation, SQL, APIs, and troubleshooting integrations.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.
• Nice-to-Haves: Experience with ERP systems, AI platforms, scripting, and finance transformation projects; Background in SaaS, process optimization, or automation tools.
