A Senior Audit Manager position is available at an independent CPA firm based in the Midwest. The firm offers a competitive compensation package up to $225,000 base plus a performance bonus, and is seeking a candidate with 8–10+ years of public accounting audit experience and an active CPA license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of financial statement audit engagements across a diverse commercial client base
• Serve as the primary client relationship owner on complex, high-value engagements
• Review and sign off on workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports
• Mentor, develop, and retain senior associates and managers
• Collaborate directly with partners on business development, client strategy, and practice growth initiatives
• Apply deep technical knowledge to complex accounting issues
• Contribute to firm-wide initiatives including recruiting, thought leadership, and process improvement

Requirements

• Active CPA required
• 8–10+ years of public accounting audit experience with meaningful time in a senior leadership or management role
• Proven track record managing complex engagements and high-value client relationships end-to-end
• Strong technical foundation in US GAAP and financial statement auditing across commercial industries
• Experience developing and retaining audit staff and managers
• Strong business development instincts
• Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable leading in a fully remote environment
