(Remote) Quality Assurance Analyst
About the role
inHance, a division of Harris, is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to bring seasoned quality assurance expertise to enhance the capabilities of our Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years in the QA field, proficiency in planning, executing, and interpreting test plans, and experience scripting automated tests for both web and desktop applications. Proficiency with tools like TestComplete, ReadyAPI, and programming languages such as C# and SQL is crucial. The role involves leading the integration of innovative tools and methodologies to elevate inHANCE's QA practices. This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada and the US, with approximately 5% travel required. Candidates must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Design testing plans and strategies for UI, API, load, performance, integration, and regression testing for web and client/server products.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Analyze, recommend, and configure tools for quality assurance.
- Write and maintain automated test suites for front-end and back-end components using TestComplete and ReadyAPI.
- Install and configure test environments.
- Develop and maintain scripts to refresh testing environments.
- Collect metrics to measure the quality of products over time.
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to improve software quality.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and QA.
- 3+ years of experience in software development QA.
- Experience working with MS SQL.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including creating release notes, slides, and documents to assist sales and marketing.
- Experience with test case generation for both manual and automated testing.
- Experience building automated test cases using TestComplete and SQL.
- Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira or DevOps.
- Accountability, respect, integrity, and discipline; able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, communicating effectively to ensure department goals are achieved.
- Interest in continuously improving team practices and processes.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Utility CIS.
- Experience with GitHub repository strategies.
- Ability to lead, delegate, and coordinate QA activities to service multiple development teams.
- Ability to read C#/SQL code and assist developers in identifying root cause code sections.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Experience with build automation and packaging.
- Knowledge of test automation best practices.

Pay
Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000
