About the Role

The Remote Network Support Technician supports the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IP camera systems deployed across global locations. This role ensures reliable video data transmission by resolving network issues, managing user access, configuring systems, and supporting field installation teams. The position directly contributes to system performance, operational reliability, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to end-user support tickets and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot login, hardware, network connectivity, and system access issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Configure and adjust IP cameras and camera presets for optimal performance.
  • Integrate new IP cameras into Video Management Systems (VMS).
  • Monitor network infrastructure performance and troubleshoot outages.
  • Provide remote technical support to field installation teams and verify quality control.
  • Monitor server health and facilitate secure remote video viewing access.
  • Download, manage, and securely archive post-event video footage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing and troubleshooting Windows operating systems in enterprise environments.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting complex IP networks, including routing and switching.
  • Experience managing routing protocols and resolving network issues.
  • Experience installing and maintaining IP-based video surveillance systems.
  • Experience managing and optimizing Video Management Systems (VMS).
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Linux systems using command-line tools and scripting.
  • Strong understanding of Windows networking, IP networking, routing, IP camera systems, and Linux environments.

Pay

Hourly pay: $27.76.
