About the role

The Federal Savings Bank is a veteran-owned, federally chartered private bank with loan production offices nationwide. We have established strong relationships with local realtors and builders across our lending footprint and are seeking experienced Mortgage Bankers to help cultivate these relationships, build new ones, and work together to grow the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with local realtors and builders
  • Work collaboratively with partners to grow business
  • Originate loans in all 50 states without state licensing
  • Utilize personalized marketing options and robust support programs
  • Work with experienced operations staff for processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing
  • Work with Banker Assistants for assistance
  • Offer a wide range of loan products including FHA/VA, Conventional, USDA, Jumbo, 203k and Renovation, Portfolio, ITIN, Condos/Co-ops, Construction, HECM's, Multi-Family, Commercial, Personal Lending and more
  • Work with a strong secondary department with 55+ investor relationships and direct access to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
  • Work in a secure environment with bank-issued laptops
  • Participate in mentorship programs to grow business and expand teams
  • Build personal brand within The Federal Savings Bank platform

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of mortgage lending or retail mortgage banking experience
  • Active involvement in the retail mortgage banking industry
  • A well-developed referral base including realtors, past clients, financial planners, attorneys, and/or accountants
  • A college degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Knowledge of the real estate market in the local area
  • Knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC guidelines
  • A favorable credit history and background check
