About the role
The Head of Sales will serve as the strategic commercial leader of M3MI, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute M3MI’s commercial vision and revenue growth strategy, ensuring alignment with market opportunities in the healthcare communication and life sciences industries.
- Identify and prioritise high-value market segments, therapeutic areas, and client targets to drive sustained sales growth.
- Establish clear sales objectives, KPIs, and performance standards for the M3MI Sales Team to ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
- Build a high-performance, results-driven sales culture focused on accountability, client impact, and growth.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets and expand M3MI’s client base.
- Direct, mentor, and scale the sales team to maximise productivity, pipeline development, and conversion rates.
- Cultivate and strengthen executive-level relationships with key communication agencies, publishers and life sciences stakeholders.
- Drive proactive business development efforts by leveraging personal industry contacts, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance reporting to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to develop compelling, customised proposals that address client business challenges and differentiate M3MI in competitive situations.
- Serve as the senior commercial liaison with clients, leading strategic discussions, negotiations, and contract closures.
- Represent M3MI at high-level client meetings, industry conferences, and external forums to promote the company’s platforms and thought leadership.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts to drive account expansion and long-term partnerships.
- Continuously assess evolving client needs and competitive dynamics to refine value propositions and strengthen client retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, with significant exposure to market research, healthcare communication, and analytics.
- Proven experience leading business development teams and achieving significant revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of drug development, business commercialisation, and marketing processes in the biopharmaceutical sector.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing senior executives.
