Modern Snack Bar, a historic family-owned restaurant in Aquebogue, Long Island, has been serving exceptional home-style cooking since 1950. We are seeking a professional and personable Remote Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our valued guests, you will play a crucial role in upholding our tradition of creating a welcoming dining experience. This is a remote position dedicated to managing reservations and enquiries for our Aquebogue location, ensuring our high standards of customer service are maintained from a distance.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming telephone calls and email enquiries in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
• Handle customer reservations, modifications, and cancellations efficiently using our digital booking system.
• Provide accurate information to guests regarding our menu, opening hours, special events, and location.
• Liaise effectively with on-site restaurant staff to ensure seamless communication and a smooth guest experience.
• Uphold the restaurant's commitment to outstanding customer service in every interaction.
• Address customer feedback with professionalism and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the restaurant's operations as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing role, such as a receptionist, customer service representative, or administrative assistant.
• Experience within the hospitality or restaurant industry is highly desirable.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a clear and professional telephone manner.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with reservation software and standard office applications.
• A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and reliably in a remote setting.
• Must have a dedicated, quiet workspace and a stable, high-speed internet connection.

Pay

$45,000 - $52,000 per annum
