Pride Health is hiring a Drug Utilization Review Pharmacist for a well-known client! (REMOTE)*Remote Opening: for the following states, Arizona, Texas, Indiana, New Hampshire, Florida, New York, and Washington state. Shift Schedule: Day shift positions 3am-1pm ( Sun-Wed & Wed-Sat)Contract Length: 3 months (possible extension)Pay Rate: $60 - $70/hour*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.Job Summary:This is a 100% remote position is responsible for reviewing medication orders for clinical appropriateness, identifying potential drug interactions, supporting safe dispensing practices, resolving medication-related issues, and maintaining compliance with applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain comprehensive customer profiles including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over-the-counter and home remedies)Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. Make recommendations for therapy changes to the prescriber as appropriateOperate and Troubleshoot Pharmacy Automation SystemsUtilize, monitor, and troubleshoot automated dispensing and fulfillment systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription ordersCollaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standardsDispense Controlled Substances and Maintain Regulatory ComplianceAccurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and state-specific lawsMaintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and reporting requirementsAnswer clinical questions and provide guidanceCollaborate with healthcare team membersDocument all healthcare team communicationsInvestigate and resolve medication errorsImplement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal lawsMaintain required regulatory documentationParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesSupport pharmacy operations across departments as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of employment.Additional state pharmacy licenses may be required. Experience with Drug Utilization Review (DUR). Knowledge of clinical pharmacy practice and medication safety principles. Must be able to support a shift schedule aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.
