Remote Cyber Program Manager
About the role
The role of the Cyberscurity Program Manager involves leading the end-to-end delivery of the Mythos Cyber Defense Program, a global initiative focused on reducing enterprise exposure to AI-driven vulnerabilities and accelerating remediation at scale. This role requires managing 11 interdependent workstreams, driving program governance, and delivering measurable risk reduction outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end program delivery across all Mythos workstreams (applications, infrastructure, identity, AI exposure, tech debt, supply chain)
- Drive execution against aggressive timelines, regulatory expectations, and enterprise risk reduction goals
- Translate strategy into an integrated program plan with clear milestones, dependencies, and outcomes
- Ensure alignment between remediation efforts and enterprise risk priorities
- Manage interdependencies across 11+ workstreams and associated projects
- Ensure sequencing, prioritization, and resource alignment across:
- Vulnerability remediation (apps, infra, endpoints)
- AI-driven exposure management
- Tech debt reduction and legacy risk mitigation
- Adversarial testing and security tooling
- Drive cross-workstream issue resolution and decision-making
- Establish and run program governance structure, including:
- Steering Committee (monthly)
- Program Readouts (monthly)
- Program Management cadence (weekly)
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting for:
- Steering Committee
- ExCo / Board (as required)
- Drive clear decision escalation paths, ensuring risks and dependencies are resolved quickly
- Ensure governance is not just reporting, but actively drives prioritization and outcomes
- Lead proactive identification and management of:
- Program risks (cyber, delivery, regulatory)
- Cross-workstream dependencies
- Critical path constraints
- Ensure timely escalation to appropriate governance bodies
- Establish consistent delivery frameworks, templates, and reporting standards across all workstreams
- Hold Project Managers accountable for:
- Clear plans, milestones, and status reporting
- Financial tracking and forecasting
- Dependency and risk transparency
- Drive adoption of data-driven delivery management and metrics, including:
- Vulnerability closure rates
- Exposure reduction
- SLA adherence and remediation velocity
- Own program-level financials, including:
- Budget oversight
- Forecasting and cost management
- Vendor spend
- Support vendor selection, onboarding, and performance management
- Ensure effective allocation of resources across high priority workstreams
- Serve as the central point of coordination across:
- Cybersecurity
- Infrastructure & Engineering
- Risk, Audit, Legal
- Business stakeholders
- Translate complex technical risks into clear executive insights and decisions
- Build strong partnerships to enable rapid execution and issue resolution
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex programs
- Proven ability to lead multi-workstream, cross-functional programs with heavy interdependencies
- Strong experience in cybersecurity and risk management
- Demonstrated success operating in high-pressure, high-ambiguity environments
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong financial management and forecasting expertise
Preferred Experience
- Vulnerability management / exposure management
- Security tooling implementations (e.g., CrowdStrike, adversarial testing tools)
- AI/ML risk and security concepts
- PMP or equivalent certification
- Experience in financial services / regulated environments
